A major escalation in the ongoing India-Pakistan tensions unfolded on Friday evening as explosions and blackouts swept across parts of North India. The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) and the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) have cancelled all leaves for their staff to ensure complete administrative readiness. Similar directives were issued by the Health Ministry, asking all officers to report back to duty immediately.

Despite the crisis, India’s energy security remains intact. Oil marketing companies like IOCL, BPCL, and HPCL have secured crude supplies for the next three months, while the country’s strategic oil reserves are ready for emergency use.
